Next week, thousands of litigation support and other legal and technology practitioners will convene at ILTA 2012, this time in Washington, D.C. As usual, the agenda is filled with programs dedicated to e-discovery, including “the cloud.”
Among the topics is one that surfaces regularly in our discussions with our clients – when to keep e-discovery processes in-house (behind the corporate firewall) and when to move certain processes, like document review, to the cloud. Research firm IDC recently published a white paper on the topic, Managed Services for eDiscovery: Building a Strategic Relationship with Your Service Provider, outlining key considerations in selecting the appropriate e-discovery model.
